Not to get into a whole debate on something that's not super well documented yet but... it depends. Our society is a huge lever on sexual behavior of gender right now. So, if you take the default stereotypical USA view of gender sexuality, no it's not hypocritical. But if you look at it more objectively, then it is more likely to be either hypocritical oractuallycompletely backwards.source:

i joke, because i would dream of me being that kid, but know i wouldn't feel that way about my theoretical daughter being part of the opposite story. am i crazy or is that not hypocritical, because the genders are different in some respects?
