Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who made headlines this week by refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples has been taken into custody by U.S. marshals and will be spending time in jail for her defiance of the law of the land. "The court cannot condone the willful disobedience of its lawfully issued order.If you give people the opportunity to choose which orders they follow, that's what potentially causes problems" wrote Judge David L. Bunning of the U.S. Federal District Court.
