A controversy is brewing over a change at Starbucks. The company decided this year to drop its familiar red holiday cup that sported reindeer and ornaments in favor of a plain, two-toned red version. The change sparked a former pastor who says he considers himself a "social media personality," to accuse the company of removing symbols that represent Christmas because "they hate Jesus." Starbucks vice president Jeffrey Fields explained the decision saying that the company "wanted to usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories."
