Even more fun when you abused/exploited the minimum firing distance. If you force targeted too close, it would keep elevating to try to hit your target; and since the normal max elevation is well below the 45 or so degrees of a maximum range arc, you could, with practice, extend the range of any artillery out by a stupid amount (I want to say 2 or 3 times as far.) Accuracy was shit, but once you zero in some part of their base, you just hammer at it; hampering them, and causing them to search for your guns "near" their base.


Still wouldn't save you when the opponent activated the 500 stealth fighters and assassinated your dude, but hey, you got 5-10 seconds of warning as the FPS dived to single digits for no on-radar reason....
