That's not true, and more of a Fox News interpretation. In the agreement, all countries set their own goals, with reductions starting in 2020, with a goal of having zero greenhouse gas emissions by mid century. China has stopped construction of 103 coal-fired plants. China has also cut its use of coal three years in a row. It's a complicated path that needs to be taken, and simplistic generalizations don't cut it.
Additionally, e renewable energy businesses are the growing ones, and the fossil fuel sector are not. Trump did this for two reasons:
1. Every move he makes is to benefit corporations and the very rich.
2. Unquestionably, his goal is to eradicate every program and law that Obama put in place.
We can't afford to put our planet and future generations in danger due to short term greed.
Also, if he cared about the un and under-educated working-class, he would be investing in training them for industries of the future, not to get a small number of them back in the mines.
