She calls it an uruk-hai scimitar because that's what the people at Weta called when they created it. The idea, I think, is that the uruk-hai aren't really into sleek curves like the elves, but since they CAME from elves they still use similar types of weapons, but instead of curves, it's jagged edges and angles
