Loved me some game breaking mechanics with MTW2. Any time I was getting sieged, I always made sure to have a general and some fodder. I take the fodder out to catch arrows then ran the general into the lines. For whatever reason, as long as the gates were closed, the enemies would not charge forward when the general was outside. So I'd go and continually charge into them. Oh, and if I had archers, after the cannon fodder took the enemy arrows, I'd have the archers rape them for massive kills too. It was completely cheap but somehow I found it fun.
