This is where my pops bought a copy of Afterburner. We had to get a ticket and wait in a line to be issued a copy. The fucking bullshit, arbitrary process to buy a stupid video game back then was insane. If only modern me could look back and say "remember this shit". Now there's more games than I have time to play in an entire lifetime, resulting in me not playing shit because it all sucks. Back then I'd spend entire days memorizing the patterns and only once or twice got to the 22nd level, but never actually beat it, which I only ever realized in the last couple years that the 22nd level was the last level. If I were to play that kind of game today, I'd tell it to fuck itself.
