I'm no expert but it seems pretty remarkable. Basically a contraption was built that could hold a single atom in place while shining very bright laser light at it. Then he took a camera and left the shutter open for a long period of time, so that the more the atom bounced around the more it would show up on film. They've generated images of atoms before with special microscopes, but never taken an actual photograph.

His skin mask is slipping. Kinda like when our fingers get wrinkly, well his fake face is failing.
I am still not sure if robot or alien.
Edit - Also cool to see the toys that "rich" people get to play with - motorized paddle-board. I put quotation marks on "rich" because that generic term seems uninspired when it comes to him.
