Its actually not nearly as hard as it looks. For example, its fairly easy to make decent Iron Man armor from the anti-fatigue foam floor mats you find in most hardware stores. Sites like therpf.com have some pretty great work in progress write ups on tons of great props and armors.

Im more of an old school guy, heres 2 props a buddy and I built 2 years ago:

I have zero tattoos.

If I did get a tattoo I'd get a full sleeve Minecraft piece. There would most likely be regrets.
