Yup, WW1. Entered service in 1917. First tank with a fully traversable turret. Built a bit over 3000 of them before the end of the war, and several hundred more shortly after. Sold a number of them to various nations, including Japan and China. Still had about 1500 in service at the beginning of WW2.View attachment 301111
I believe this tank was from World War One, possibly interwar era. Only tank I saw in the Les Invalides. They also had reproduction breastplates from the Napoleonic Wars in the gift shop. Couple hundred euro. I wanted to buy one but my girlfriend made the startling accurate point that it wouldn't fit in my bag.
