Went camping here in 2016. Night time sky was so clear you could see the Milky Way. I thought I was drunk because I was an East Coast kid who had never seen it before. Had only had two beers. Might have been drunk.

If you're far enough away from light pollution, it's pretty clearly visible in the middle of the night. Now imagine looking at it on mushrooms, with your eyes extremely dilated.
