Anecdotal, I am a roofer by trade. Management now so I spend very little of my time on roofs. A few times a year my repair guys refuse to go on a roof due to fear. I make a habit of doing it myself and I always take a picture at the worst spot and send it to my boss to fuck with him.

In that picture I am crawling on hands and knees on the ridge of a wet metal roof. The drop to that parking lot is 5 stories down. If I slip I die. That picture is misleading a little because I took it from a spot there is a dormer sticking out. Most of the roof would be a straight slide right off the roof.
