True story - I was a customer with the same carrier for 20 years. A year ago I asked for the same deal as intro customers and they told me to get fucked. So I switched. Come to find out the cabling into my crappy old house for the competitor limited the internet to the slowest possible speed they had available.
So, right before the pandemic and working from home, I switched my 20 year, 20 Mb/s+ download speed carrier to 3 Mb/s on a 2 year plan.
I am a fucking genius and have the best luck.
