in 1997 i needed them for basic, the ibm pc
nope, it was just ibm pc, yup that old junk
i was like wtf, and yes, you had BUY new disks (as a requirement), which were impossible to find in 1997, i had hundreds of 5 1/4 in that stupid lock box
and yes, i had one computer room that would literally be from the 80s, and then i'd goto another computer class with the newest pentiums in em that me and other friends spent hours playing networked ipx doom.
our teacher thought it was cool he could just monitor us on windows 3.11 so we just loaded up dos... pentium 200s with 8megs of ram, these were amazing in 97.
