Oh, I went through a process before disassembly. I have a handy USB dongle which plugs into the drive to make it an external USB drive. So each drive I checked to see if it would spin up at all (around 1/4 didn't pass that test), would it recognize on a system (another 1/2 of them failed this and wouldn't recognize), and then copy all known data to my home file server to suss through for just this reason.
To be honest the worst I found were some old indiscriminate pics. heh Pic may or may not be related....
