You guys shitting all over Coin need to go read the FAQ as pretty much each issue brought up has been addressed already.
1.) Random people cannot scan your card(s) with their coin scanner. It is all tied to your name/account.
2.) Coin doesn't work if X distance away from your phone (which has it's own issues like you can't use it if you forgot your phone or it is dead but at least if you lose it, it is useless unlike if you lost your wallet).
3.) Battery lasts for two years without any recharging or method to recharge, then the whole coin card needs to be replaced. So basically it is like a $50 a year fee.
