As one of the younger EQ players (born in 1990) I've enjoyed you geezers showing me all these ancient games that you played in Arcades. I'll raise you a few I grew up with (shoutout to Cybsled Cybsled ):

So many hours spent in arcades. My grandfather would take me every Friday night to the mall as a kid, we would go the book store, then the "toy" store with a Tabletop RPG section and then 5/10 bucks in the arcade (he would let me roam and browse in the stores and meet me outside in the mall), then we would go to McD's or some other fast food place where we would go in and eat and he would let me talk about the books, games, D&D, etc. It was as close to heaven as I ever expected to get. I don't think either of the two "arcades" below are real but they are far closer to what I remember than any of the "real" pictures" I could find.

The arcade at the local mall was always dark like those pics. Plenty of good times. Kithani Kithani you're right on that used to be one of my favorite arcade games.

For the shooter games, the best was when they had 2 guns and you could be both player 1 and player 2 and basically go akimbo on everything.

When I got bored of that I escalated to two gun mojo on time crisis 2. Managing two pedals and two screens is pretty intense, especially when you've got different PoVs on each screen and need to not shoot yourself.

I will never forget this beast. When I was in 7th grade, I brought a roll of quarters with me to the skate rink just to beat this amazingly violent for its time masterpiece. Then my friends and I met up with some girls and I touched my first set of tits. On top of the world that night.

Fuck yeah the double air jump off screen to grenade toss was so satisfying, the same
Company made a few more like that one that stands out was aliens vs predators. You played as a few different predators and even some humans I think. The moves were awesome and gore everywhere.

I bought one of these. Aside from Alien vs Predator, it was 100% a waste of money :*(

The old TSR/Goldbox stuff was classic. NWN on AOL was my first MMO (I think it is considered the first graphical MMO since it came out in the early 90s and could support up to 500 players in the gameworld at one time towards the end of its run), but it was back when they charged by the hour to use the service so...yea.

A lot of the people I knew from NWN ended up playing on my EQ1 server
