I loved this movie. Watched it as a kid on HBO; The Bomber vignette [Edit: B-17] scared the holy shit out of me. Years later couldn't remember for the life of me where the name I had heard the name "Taarna" and "Taarakians" before. This movie was unavailable on most media for years due to rights issues because of all the music, and was finally re-released in [Edit:1996, and then on Blu-Ray in 2008; 4k version next month]. Finding the Orchestral Score, as opposed to the Music from the Movie, was one of the first things I did on the Internet that was Amazing™ in 1996. Impossible to find, someone had it on CD, probably was a bootleg made from the LP when it was released in 81 but it took an amazing amount of searching to find. Even with all of the MP3 sharing going on, or about to go on, through NewsGroups and then through Napster/websites/etc, it was well worth the money to buy.
