I worked at a sewage treatment plant for 7yrs that had a daily flow of 60mil gal. And it wasn't a combined system. Knowing what I do now I will never go in the water at the beach ever again. It's the same as swimming in this.

Used to work in a gold mine as my student job. Most of my family members are miners.
I worked near the 1km mark deep. About 3200 feets. (Under the light blue and green zone on the map.)
