tokusatsu shows were on USA up all-night throughout the 80’s. We’d sneak in and if you had cool parents you got to watch a lot of that on USA. That is the main reason I hated Power Rangers because I was like this isn’t as good as a lot of tokusatsu stuff.Japanese TV was big here when I was a kid, we got all the OG tokusatsu 70s TV reruns way before any of you fuckers had ever heard of a 'Power Ranger'.
My parents used to watch Toyama no Kinsan religiously. It was a pretty decent drama, every episode once he dropped his sleeve and the bad guys saw the tats, it was game over ...
