I've found a new use for Google streetview. I have designed a game, Rio treasure hunt. I find an area of Rio de Janeiro, drop into streetview and I have a list of things to find in the streetview: Pile of garbage, wrecked car, unfit old guy not wearing a shirt, poor construction, plus others.
From start location, I move about the streets trying to find these things. I have gone under 4 minutes a few times now. And if you're thinking I go to the Favelas, then nope, most areas of Rio are perfectly fine.
You see things:
When you're going to work up in the mess of electrical wires, be sure to set your ladder firmly on the pile of garbage. . .
Across the road for real, people watching on, including a couple of local cops. Who just watch.
