Dad was always into gadgets so he got this. External tuner/channel switcher. Cable ran from wall to this to tv so tv was always on channel 4.

Just like the shit I mentioned a few pages ago. Everyone had the same shit, no matter what walk of life you came from back then. I also noticed that my oldest grandmother, on my father's side, had the same shit as my great grandmother on my mother's side when they died. Could really tell they both came from not having fucking shit at one point in their lives.

My dad would wake me up and tell me to come out to the living room, he'd sit down light a smoke, take a pull off his miller lite tall boy, and tell me to change the channel for him. I miss that old bastard.
