Theres far worse than that. The first female F-14 pilot ended up killing herself and almost killed her backseater due to her incompetence. As she was landing she stalled one of the engines trying to line herself up with the carrier so to compensate she applied full power to the remaining engine. This created a large asymmetrical thrust, a known hazard on the F-14 which quickly caused her F-14 to lose control and nose dive into the Pacific.
