i am not snooty or above using a microwave to cook, i've been using a microwave steamer for veggies and it's amazingMicrowave it like a real American. Solves all problems. Not curly, no cleanup, house doesn't smell like bacon for 2 days, takes 6 minutes.
I thought it was bullshit too, until I tried it. Then my GF thought it was bullshit when she moved in (she's an excellent cook), then she tried it.
Haven't made bacon any other way in like a decade. View attachment 455770
when the Wow Bacon thing is done, you end up with a little cup of pure bacon grease. its really a neat product, just dont drop it because its brittle as fuck and you dont want bacon grease all over your kitchen floor. dont ask me how i know.i am not snooty or above using a microwave to cook, i've been using a microwave steamer for veggies and it's amazing
zero clean up, and it's 1 less "burner" i have to worry about being on
however, now i'm on a quest to find a microwave bacon device, that ALSO strains the bacon at the same time, so that i can use the strained bacon grease to cook w/ for a few months.
what Chukzombi linked might be good, i could put a coffee filter underneath the bacon and have it drip through and pool at the bottom.
(i already have 2 jars of tallow that i use from all my briskets)

When I lived in Missouri I was introduced to "Wilted Lettuce"when the Wow Bacon thing is done, you end up with a little cup of pure bacon grease. its really a neat product, just dont drop it because its brittle as fuck and you dont want bacon grease all over your kitchen floor. dont ask me how i know.
dont knock it til you try it, bacon tastes like bacon no matter what method you use for cooking it. it even crisps up like bacon on the pan when you toss it in the microwave. take that from someone who hardly uses the microwave at all anymore. i cook fresh or heat up food in the air fryer. i dont even like standing in front of the motherfucker(microwave). bacon though, give it a shot. i cant tell the difference between fried, baked, air fried or microwaved.
