God my dad is a perfect example of the boomer mentality:

I'd still rather have that piece of paper because surprisingly enough, people quit spending money on repairs once they ran out of money. Some weeks I took home less than 300 bucks because work was slow and all I'd do is sit around the shop and bullshit or shoot the shit with neighboring businesses. Plus the whole 20-30 grand in tools that you'll end up needing to acquire over the years.
