Actually this is true, but not "the truth". The news story specifically called out that it would have required ~60 liters of diesel to deliver the photovoltaic panel to the demonstration, while running the generator for the weekend only required ~20 liters of diesel. It's ironic, sure, but it's also a great example of ways our energy economy needs to be changed. If microinverter PV panels were available in adequate capacities off-the-shelf in box stores, then they would be used more often and in more situations.

The restaurants don't let non-customers use the restrooms, reap what you sow. Local businesses could band together to fund a cheap, crappy public restroom if they want to do so. It comes down to the fact people gotta shit somewhere, and if the businesses all say no, you go where you go.

I love my Makita drill and impact. The lithium batteries and power/torque are fuckin amazing. Almost ripped my wrist off at max when pushing a 16" 1/4" screw through a pillar.
