[Portrait of Oda Nobuyoshi, a Japanese who lived during the Meiji era (1868-1912). Born in the Sukomo City in 1860, Nobuyoshi finished dental school in Tokyo, and started his own dental practice afterwards. In 1915, he moved to Shikoku Island, Kochi Prefecture, where he served as the chairman of the city council. His wife Takeshi Yamazaki, was a known civil rights activist and a journalist.

Oda Nobuyoshi was also said to have been a retainer of the known ninja clan Iga. This photograph was taken in 1880, when Oda was 20 years old
