I bought a new car last year, and the headlights are just *bright*. The number of times people flash their high beams at me thinking I have my brights on is pretty shocking. So I don't think it's always necessarily people going out of their way to have those lights, the newer cars just come that way.

It’s 1985 and you’re headed to the dealership with all of your savings- which are you going home with?

Made this choice myself (in 1988) bought the Chrysler version of this - Which is the same car just rebadged. Black loaded with tan leather interior. My drivers license lasted almost 3 years before the great state of NC made me walk for 90 days.

i remember reading that the desert eagle was actually too puny looking in costume hand, and thats when the armorer said something like, oh i got this 93r in my car lemme whip it out and put a comp on it

they then used the desert eagle for this homage to squibs

I got one of these for graduation. $14k in 1989 dollars. Black with titanium trim. CD player and 12"s in the back. I had scholarships and grandparents who doted on me.

I put 40K miles on it in a year and drove the hell out of it as one might expect a stupid spoiled 18 year old would. I didn't really mistreat it but drove it fast and traveled all over Texas and LA in it. I certainly didn't appreciate what it meant to receive it and take care it the way I should have. Even looking at this pic I feel guilty for not appreciating it more, to receive a gift like that. I should have been treating it as if it was made of gold and love. I kept it for 5 years and put like 120K miles on it, and still got 3 or 5K to trade it in. Such a great car.

People loved the LX 5.0's because you could get them with the lower (higher) ratio'ed rear-ends? Or at least they were cheaper cars if you were going to mod them out for racing. I did a little of that when I got the car but people were pouring Thousands of dollars into their cars and I was happy just to go fast.

For all the talk of muscle cars in the 80's, though, my V6 Taurus has more HP.
