Morrison's Cafe. We'd go there on occasion at the mall and then go home. All the food your cardiologist warns you about on the same tray. Half of it covered in thick brown gravy. The only vegetables were boiled, smashed, or fried. 6 colors of jello and enough deserts to give you instant beetus. Heaven.

Was it an open faced sandwich like this?Oh man, it was a special day once a year when we went back to school shopping for paper, pens, coloured pencils, whatever. On that day we got to go to K-Mart's restaurant. They had a roast beef on a bun sandwich served with gravy. I might be horrified if I ate it now, but I probably had it once a year preceding grades 1-7 or 8. It was delicious and felt very luxurious at the time. We almost never went to any restaurant except special occasions. Once a year to a specific Chinese restaurant was the only guaranteed one apart from K-Mart back to school shopping. It's so silly looking back at it, but it was living like a king at the time.
