A co-op Armor Wars themed game would be fucking rad. A lot of inspiration from Anthem, a variety of armor types, etc... please.

E3 will be back in 2023

I'm surprised that they didnt scale back to it being industry only. Even prior to 2020, MS and Sony (and nintendo?) had pulled out, realizing they could hold their own conferences outside E3, and in the interim, The Game Awards and Keighly have just taken up and eclipsed the mantle of the place to get announcements and world premiers.

Really Ubisoft, just release the game, take the L, and move on. Short of a page-one rewrite, the game's not going to be a success anyways, so just rip that band-aid off.

I've really looked forward to this, but the excitement has dwindled as years have come and gone.
AC Black Flag ship combat was a lot of fun, and it seemed like a no-brainer to flesh that out into a full pirate-themed game of its own.
Too bad they let a decade go by. I'm still hopeful that this will be enjoyable, but almost certainly it'll be a "wait until it's on PC Gamepass" game.
I guess there's AC Odyssey on Gamepass to cover the Ubi ship combat game for now, anyway.

If they can pull off a decent Iron Man in the same vein as the recent Spider Man games, with all kinds of suits to unlock, and a decent story…. That’d be pretty great.

What makes people think it's going to be shitty?
Aside from the fact that I wanted a sandbox pirate adventure (ya know, AC Black Flag, minus the AC) rather than... boat-based team deathmatch, or whatever--when a completely ordinary, fairly by the numbers game takes like ten goddamn years to make, it rarely bodes well.

Only ubi soft game that I really enjoyed was the Division and Division 2. All other ones I tried were boring as fuck.

Has anyone on this board played Carrion?

Loosely based on The Thing, except you play AS The Thing and move around stalking the humans throughout a base / spaceship / unsure. Looks good and IIRC it's like $10 on Switch. I'll probably check it out at some point.

Also on gamepass (or was at least) it is short and fun; basically no replayability tho.

Since I love The Thing I kinda have to try it. It's actually $20 on Switch. Probably not worth $20 digital if it's short with no replayability. Definitely seems like an interesting concept though. I just paid $25 for a physical one so I can sell it later and that's a bit better. I recoup probably 80% of the value on most of the games I play if they're lacking replayability. The really good ones I keep, like Elden Ring and Bloodborne. I don't have to sell things after I play them, but it's a habit that has saved me literal thousands of dollars over 20 years or so on things that I played once.

Point is, I'm just glad Carrion has a physical release, feel better about trying it out now.
