Always a nice reminder. "support" Gog when you can. always check it before steam.
GoG doesn't just provide a platform. they actively curate the games to ensure they play on modern machines. they have unofficial patches etc, when you buy older games on there.
Their storefront is solid. Their UI, library/installed games is solid. and they provide forum/discussion pages for the games, where you can look up discussion on patches, bugs, etc, like steam.
