Hitting a bandwidth cap is a sign of either a) a shitty internet plan or b) a degenerate porn addiction.

I can count the number of times that's ever happened to me on none of my hands.

you don't need to download the free epic games, just claim them every week on https://www.epicgames.com on your pc or phone. I assume every person who claims a free game every week costs epic a few pennies so I make sure to claim every week, even though I've never played a single one of the free epic games. I think I have over 400 at this point lol

I know, I do the same with the PS+ free monthly games. I was just commenting on bandwidth caps. Even in a month where I downloaded 800+ gigs of games due to installing an extra SSD, reinstalls, whatever, I still never had cap issues.

Burns Burns sorry about your shitty interwebs plan bro. There are actually mythical places where you don't have to choose one or the other, believe it or not.

Speaking of free games on Epic, Chivalry 2 is currently free.

I got "lucky" and don't have a cap, but I did see a few options out here that did. Those would be the only options if there wasn't a microwave tower in range. Still, I do get throttled, their top speed offered is 50 mbps, and my latency makes multiplayer onilne gaming unplayable half the time. More options have opened (Starlink recently) and are opening up thanks to government subsidies in rural areas...

"Their" in there is referring to Epic's own bandwidth.

What? I’m talking about using Epics bandwidth for free games costs Epic money and costs the end user nothing.

Just picked up a few of the free ones that I knew if I tried it I wouldn't get a feel if it was worth paying for it in under 2 hours, like a free long term demo.

I claim everything too just because but hey, Farm Sim 2022 was a free one recently. They occasionally have something worth playing!

Those fields aren't gonna harvest themselves.

I have about 410 free games from Epic. I always imagine a day when I retire that I will have hundreds and hundred of games to try with all the time in the world. Fun fantasy, but don't think it will ever actually happen. Wife, kids, businesses to run... I don't think life is ever going to slow down, and if it does, I am going to be 80 and probably not going to want to play games anymore. Nevertheless, I keep claiming that shit.

And just like that, “toxic” behavior quadrupled. They really do not understand shitlords.

Same boat, though not with Epic because that launcher is still aids.
