There are very few people here who would say that Trump was without sin but we all know he was amazing for the country. But there are legion on the Left that are in denial that Floyd was a lifelong criminal and drug user. Hands Up Don't Shoot myth persists to this day in the face of complete and utter evidence to the contrary. Jacob Blake reaching for a dove in his car when he was shot? Breonna Taylor the winged angel caught in the crossfire of the bust of her criminal boyfriend?

During the final rebuttal the prosecution tried to make the argument that instead of shooting Rosenbaum (or however his name is spelled) he could have kept running or fought him with his fists instead and that using the gun in self defense was cowardly.

Also trying to pull the ol' "I guess a skateboard is a deadly weapon" shtick is such crap...its not the object that makes it a deadly weapon, it is the intent. A chair is not a deadly weapon until someone picks it up and tries to smash it over your head. (Edit) I guess a better example would be a car, not a deadly weapon when driven right, but a deadly weapon when plowed into a crowd of people.

They had no facts to stand on. Their case is terrible because they should never have brought the charges in the first place. Dropping the ball would imply they had some chance with their case other than a contaminated jury.

I bet you could pull up national stats on cops getting whacked with skateboards and ending up in an ER. The trick to get full effectiveness from a skateboard as a weapon is to hold it by one wheel when you swing to get max momentum. I have seen many a mailbox and windshield not survive a single blow when the truck hits

Dollars to donuts both of those prosecutors have tried and convicted people on weapons charges for all kinds of shit and for good reason. Trying to paint 8 pounds of wood, metal and plastic as not a weapon is just so fucking slimy.
