http://www.deadline.com/2013/07/comi...own-san-diego/The movie isn't out until May 2014 but Legendary Pictures tonight provided a glimpse in San Diego at what their Godzilla is going to look like. And while not a scene from the movie itself, you do get an up close and personal look at the monster as he almost sticks his head though the window-like screen. (Or just a smudge? Yes, it's a lousy pic - but the first one.) Transformed was a section of Downtown San Diego into Tokyo street scenes full of monster paraphernalia, underground decontamination bunkers, and abandoned skyscrapers looking out over a destroyed city.
On the other hand, Godzilla leaves destruction in his wake...Nice visual work, but at a symbolic level it is flawed: destruction does not create Godzilla, it's the other way around!
head looks like a dolphin, does he breathe fire and punt giant beach balls at Tokyo?More than happy with this, makes me want to shut Fuck You! at Emmerich all over again.
sorry, I thought you were going to go all Denver the last dinosaur there for a whileyeah man, younger people dont really know the godzilla phenomenon we had with Godzilla. they think he was just a big fire breathing lizard asshole with a vendetta against tokyo. but he was much more than that. he was fun. he had his own moves, he even had his own theme music and eventually stopped being an asshole and turned into a good guy. even the terrible movies were campy goodness. one christmas i even got a bigass godzilla (and Rodan) as presents. remember that one Vvoid? he had a lever in the back of his head which made a little flame tongue pop out of his mouth and for some reason his arm would shoot out.
anyway the nintendo nerd did a whole month on godzilla movies and explained his awesomeness properly.

Hope the footage leaks no matter how briefly, then again they did a good job of keeping last years tiny little teaser off of the webz.Hardwick announced they had something special to show, at which Cranston began to unbutton his fly, saying Godzilla is his pet name for it. Then Edwards introduced a clip of footage from the film showing a winged, pterodactyl-type kaiju attacking a Tokyo airport, while the giant foot of Godzilla steps in to join the fight.
