Not sure why people were expecting more just yet. Not much "action" per se, but by end of Season 6 was really a large reset for all the major players. Starks back in Winerfell, Dany FINALLY sailing to Westeros, Cersei left standing in KL. Had to take one episode to set the stage. Cersei + Euron necessary to set up Euron going out to become the new person we hate the most (Joffery -> Ramsey -> Euron). Sam reading about Dragonstone and sending word to Jon sets up inevitable Jon meets Dany.

Arya doing Arya things always good. I was so hoping the guys she rode up on was the Brotherhood though.

I assumed Tyrion's head, and/or a dragon. Although nothing in the show about him having dragon horn to control them.

Okay so I loved the Frey revenge porn. I also appreciate that they addressed how fucked Cersei is. They could just ignore it overall but it is nice they actually admitted that Cersei is fucked and the Tyrells can literally just starve them out. My money is on Euron going to Valyria and getting the Dragonhorn and some other cool shit as his priceless gifts. As they desperately need a foil of some kind for Cersei to defend against Dany's Army of Rape.

Tormund, The Hound and his merry band going to Eastwatch by the Sea to slay undead is going to be awesome also. Not a particularly amazing episode. But it is setting the stage for some good shit.

Maybe it was just me but Samwell and Gilly both looked better. My man was swagging walking up and down those library halls and Gilly looked much better than any other season.

Confirmed stupid fucking scene. First you need dragon glass to hurt them which is limited. Teaching children, weak men and women to fight is a waste of time. You need people to support the people fighting, taking care of the wounded and to feed the soldiers. We later had a scene acknowledging this very fact by Jamie Lannister talking about being able to feed and support troops during winter. So not only is this line of thinking confirmed in this fantasy but it is brought up in the same episode.

Surprisingly good episode. Revenge porn jacked up my score by about 2. I also love solid fantasy set pieces and Dragonstone fit the bill.

In the book Dragonstone fortress itself is mostly dragon glass and they just mined it directly out of that. Guess there's a supa secret quarry nobody knows about!

Jamie was talking about normal military conflicts while Jon was talking about white walkers. Thinking Jamie's speech applies to Jon's situation is retarded.

That was a good hour of television. Loved the hounds scene, and really enjoyed Aryas intro/soldier scene. How many episodes is this season? 9? A lot f pieces still to move around

So you think just because you are fighting white walkers that an army doesn't need to move or get into position or eat or any of that? They are just going to sit around and wait for them? I know one thing, you have never went over anyones head.
