Yeah I have a feeling Daenerys is gonna get fucked over, betrayed or attacked by someone soon. She's let 3 dudes into her close circle, all with different motives and ambitions.
Poor Jorah, he's been stuck in the friend-zone so long that this new guy is going to force his hand - and possibly get him exiled from his newest family(history repeats itself)

On another note - In season 2 do any of you remember the woman with the crazy tiled-mask that was in a few episodes - mainly Qarth scenes? She seemed to know alot about who Jorah is/was. Her motives were never clear and her story never came to an end.

I'm probably fishing too much with these older characters who havent been mentioned in recent episodes but thats just how good this show is.

Damn you GoT you ruined all TV shows for me!

Ain't that the fuckin truth. He is in perma friend zone I fear. The story is probably going to pan out where he loves Dani from a far but never has a chance and some new young good looking buck comes in and plows the shit out of her. He had to watch Khal Drago rip her in half for a couple of years and now he gets to do it again.

She did have a cool look. Hopefully we run into her again.

yeah, what happened to that weird lady? they seemed to allude that she knew certain secrets, power and shit. curious about the dragon arc, when those puppies are full grown, if dany turns out to be boss #1 or an epic failure.

also bran's storyline. wish they'd put more time into that.

Jorah Mormont, Barristan Selmy, Sexy translator bitch, 3 dragons, Greywurm/the unsullied and this New obviously big deal second sons guy(didnt catch his name - Daario?) Her host is getting pretty big and badass. I hope Danny suffers a loss pretty soon cause all she does is win this season. Gotta create that balance!
Say what? Dany has had a number of terrible things happen to her.

Granted my magnificent knowledge is from playing the GoT facebook game, but I believe that mask is a Lord of Light follower thing, and as we've seen with Mellisandre and the I'm-dead-but-getting-better-guy at least some of the Lord of Lights followers do have genuine powers, so mask-girl may too.

You damn Americans, having a break just as it is all about to kick off, bad enough we have to wait until Monday to watch each episode but now we have to have your 2 week break to!

Between this and the Wire as my 2 favorite TV shows ever will never be able to pick a winner though.

Amazing how many of the bit part fit girls (The translator mixed race girl this season, and the hand maiden last season who slept with the black dude and got shut in the vault, along with a few others) have all been in hollyoaks a teen soap show here in the UK , shit acting/story but my god the women are all stunners

If I were a mercenary, I am not too sure I would be ok with seeing one of my three bosses slaughter the other two, have us jump ship and turning us into a regular army for some wandering chick from a far away land. The natural order of things would rather be the emergence of a new boss from the ranks.

I somehow don't think he would have the place of mind to pick up the dagger again. Don't forget his character has constantly forgotten to do important shit when the shit hits the fan.

Anybody else think the Lieutenant of the Second Sons could be Jagen Hgar wearing a different face(the assassin who helped Arya)?Seemed personality wise and the way he looks could be a connection there. Fucking love the show for these moments, trying to make connections to episodes past.

Loooool. Tarrant marked out my Lord of the Flies reference as a spoiler.

Technically I guess that is a spoiler though. Hrm, lets test this.

Richard Rahl is able to escape his bondage to the Mord-Sith Deanna through the power of forgiveness and unconditional love.

That is because you're Swiss and genetically conditioned to be unable to choose a side when it comes to things like this.

And when he looked at the Braavosi coin he said the words Jaqen told Arya to say if she ever needed to find him.

Double reverse spoilers or "How GRRM trolled the absolute piss out of his own diehard fans for a quick buck".

Honestly I can envision a few ways that they could pull it off without pissing either audience off too much. You could have an open ended series finale with the subtext being "and for more of the story, to see how that goes and all -- read the final 2 books!" It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do considering the method and structure of the "story". The final 2 seasons will probably start to winnow down into specific threads is all, rather than being the great clay tapestry of the earlier seasons.
If tv show catches up to the books, it will just end where it ends... when the books are finished, HBO will make movies based on whatever is left... that is my thought at least. Unless it's like a year between the end of the show and the last book, then I could see them just taking a year off and hoping the actresses who play Arya and Sansa aren't 35... if they are still alive.
