I've got an old cavalry swerd, it only weighs about 5 pounds. But I just assume it would be lighter (being a cavalry swerd) and since it's really just ornamental rather than functional be lighter again, and a third time lighter because while I'm no metalurgist I'm fairly sure some sort of alloy.

I'm not a swerd expert or anything. Just a guess that a functional sharp metal bat would be about 10 lbs. 10 lbs isn't even very much weight if you've got 2-3 feet to stretch it into.

But yeah, they might only be about 5 lbs. It's not like you'd be rolling in cheap iron either to outfit the armies with.

I agree on tywin....but i think jamie lannister should have at least gotten some recognition too...his performance with brienne in the bath where he explains how he became kingslayer was amazing, his other scenes, and his transformation throughout the seasons are a fantastic show of acting.

I do agree that it's fucking stupid that (and i like the show) everyone from modern family got nominated, but game of thrones gets 2 nominations.
