His mouth is filled with blood, his head is half smashed in, ear bitten off, he has a compound fracture through his leg. Just flesh wounds I guess. The problem with this whole scene is thathe does not look at all like he is going to die, making it all ambiguous.
It partly has to do with the times. There are no ambulances or quick to appear doctors. He is basically just going to lay there and bleed to death for hours and hours which is why he wants her to finish him quickly. The problem with this whole scene is that he does not look at all like he is going to die, making it all ambiguous.

This is why I don't really enjoy the show. You get none of the behind the scenes on why Stannis chose to take his army north of the wall or Davos's arguments convincing him to do it - just LOL knights are here.Plus Stannis does know that he is there to do something about the white walkers. Right?
Not just the wildings north of the wall, who he's just attacked. They're doing what they're doing to get away from the white walkers ( mostly, I figure those cannibal fuckers are just in it to cause chaos ).
So Stannis knows the difference between the two forces, right?
Since there is a Maester trying to do a zombie mountain, I'll assume the story takes place in a world where a trained fighter is able to do some field work like applying a tourniquet. He does that, and suddenly he has hours to crawl back to his horse or to the road or simply call for help (the very knightly Brienne would probably help him rather than than finishing him or leaving him to die).It partly has to do with the times. There are no ambulances or quick to appear doctors. He is basically just going to lay there and bleed to death for hours and hours which is why he wants her to finish him quickly.
She would have overacted her reactions to everything.Stoya would've stuck that scene for sure.
He better go back to porn after this too.Peter Dinklage hasn't read the books either. I guess he is a dumb bitch also.
Agreed, I don't think she spared him as an act of harm.Oddly enough Arya not finishing the job Brianne started was her removing him from the list of people she wanted to kill to me, remember she said she would kill Joffrey with a chicken bone if she had to and didn't care how she killed the people on her list as long as they died. Unless we find out later in the book her motivation for not finishing off the hound its just speculation.
Then you don't like the show because you don't pay attention. Davos didn't tell him to go north of the wall, the red witch did. There is no reason to think he would argue with her about it at this point. This is why I don't really enjoy the show. You get none of the behind the scenes on why Stannis chose to take his army north of the wall or Davos's arguments convincing him to do it - just LOL knights are here.
as mentioned, in the show he went north because the red woman told him that's where the true battle against the great other (ie the enemy of her red god, can't remember if she used the term great other) was going to be.This is why I don't really enjoy the show. You get none of the behind the scenes on why Stannis chose to take his army north of the wall or Davos's arguments convincing him to do it - just LOL knights are here.
He said that because he realized she wasn't going to finish him, he did it to try and make her do it.When the Hound was lying there, didn't he go on a mean rant about the way he killed the Butcher's son back in season one. Talking about how he had pleaded for his life and made a mess by bleeding all over the horse.
The Hound's killing of the Butcher's son was Arya's primary reason for wanting him dead. So this last rant of his might have un-did the 'good points' he'd built up.
