Haha holy shit. I have a boner that feels like I just took 100 viagras.

I know it's been discussed with earlier scenes this season, but this one really drove home the "fuck your slow ass books, we're finishing this shit without you". Which I'm completely on board with now. Tyrion hanging out with Dany was gold and 1000x better than looking at turtles and wondering where whores go. There's only a few surprises left they can show that book readers are privy to... off the top of my head:

-That kid is going to murder Jon Snow
-Fighting pits and Dany riding Drogon (looks like Jorah will be there, and probably die in the arena before he gets full blown AIDS)
-Cersei walk of shame
-Varys in the tower with the crossbow (since they mentioned Kevan Lannister this episode, may happen as one of the final scenes this season)

Stannis will probably depart from the books and actually do something this season. Also, wildling elder chick was damn smoking hot.

maybe i miss the ep but what happened to reek's sister i remember she was on the way to break his ass out i dont remember the rest did she die?

Also Reek is fucked. how does whats going on in King Landing help little finger with his grand plains to become warden of the north?
Yara carries out her intentions of sailing to rescue Theon. She utilizes longboats and canoes to get upriver and approach the Dreadfort, and she and the ironborn soldiers use grappling hooks to scale the walls and find out where Theon is being held. However, when they enter the kennels where he is sleeping, Theon claims he is Reek and refuses to go. Ramsay enters with some guards, and in the ensuing fight most of both sides are killed. Ramsay moves to release his hounds, questioning Yara "How fast can you run?", and the Ironborn are forced to retreat without Theon. Once back to the boats, Yara claims her brother is dead.
From the GoT wiki.

In the books Asha never makes that rescue attempt, abandoning him when he won't leave Winterfell. She is captured by Stannis when he retakes Deepwood Motte from the Ironborn, and doesn't even recognize Theon. Stannis is planning to execute Theon for what he did to Bran and Rickon, so for whatever reason Theon hasn't confessed that Bran and Rickon escaped and he killed two random orphans in their place. Maybe he hopes to die at this point.

Davos knows Rickon is still alive and is sailing to the Isle where Osha took him, but if he sent this information to Stannis it hasn't gotten there yet.

Oh yeah, Big K Lanny coming back to town guarantees it's going to be Colonel Varys in the Tower with the Crossbow.

Can't wait for the people to cry about how the children were molested by having an undead king control their bodies.

the look of joy on Arya's face when she's walking off screen with the vial of poison was money. Oh ya, and fucking holy shit that last 15 minutes. Unbelievable. Wun Wun curb stomping wights and swinging that log, these show runners know how to tickle my pickle.

Oh and good job fucking Samwell Tarly, telling the guy who is thinking about icing Snow to, "Follow your heart and do what you think is right.".

The Jon Snow vs the Undead Champion was especially good. They really made you feel like he was going to kill Jon, and when Jon's sword broke his weapon it was so damn awesome.

It seems like every time Jon Snow has made an unpopular decision this season it's followed with a focus shot of that kid scowling. Pretty heavy foreshadowing tonight. I just hope he does the little head nod like he did when he shot Ygritte.

It's going to be strange reading Winds of Winter now if he manages to get it out before next season. It will be even stranger if he releases it after next season ends.

When the Night's King lifted his hands, the first thing that went through my mind was that the water was going to freeze solid and it was be all she wrote for everyone on the boats.

You mean the scene that never happened in the books is significantly better in the tv show?
Well, Hardhome was mentioned in the book...and Jon's convincing of the Wildlings happened. They were just combined in the show, and then throw in zombies and wights. They basically said fuck you to GRRM and made the story so much better.

This season is going to finish off as one of the strongest I think. Episodes 9 and 10 are going to be jam packed with crazy.

^ To Royal's comment, I thought zombies would start climbing out of the water onto those boats.

And next week's episode will probably be as WTF. I love how every season people say this show is slowing down, it's boring, etc. Then we get an episode like this.
