Yeah Dany the Dragon Whisperer ruined that scene. It should've been directed like it was in the books where she was trapped and panicked and jumped on Drogon pretty much out of desperation.
WTF are you on rocks? She jumped down from her luxury box just like in the show only she had a whip in hand and basically slapped Drogon on the nose with a newspaper. She wasn't panicing and just was like "Hey lets try this shit out" was her solution.

Between him saving Mance, killing Slynt, killing a white walker, saving a bunch of people who hate him and becoming LC Jon Snow is really becoming the #1 hero of the series. I really look forward to his pinnacle moment in the next episode, I'm sure things will work out great for him.

When you watch season 5 knowing they're going to burn Shireen, the foreshadowing seems about as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Aye. Everyone in this thread was talking about the situation being huge deciding factor of what happens to Stannis. There was good reason to believe he would sooner die than burn his daughter. There was also reason to believe he would rather burn himself than sacrifice his daughter. But the foreshadowing that something would go down was strong.

Well I mean there's at least two scenes, maybe three, where Melisandre mentions Shireen having royal blood while sharing an ominous stare with Selyse then they both turn and stare at a fire. Happened at Dragonstone before they left, and again when Mance was burned.

Maybe it's only obvious because I know it's coming, but like I said, seems subtle as a sledge.

Well, in the books it was expected Selyse and Mel would burn Shireen behind Stannis's back. That's why Stannis himself doing it shocked even book readers; it wasn't because Shireen was burned, everyone expected that, it was just that Stannis did it. That being said, Stannis is the kind of guy who would burn his daughter for his goals if he believed he was saving everyone--as they describe him in the books, he's iron, he'll break before he bends. And since is overarching goal has been the throne/protecting the realm, he's change any plans to achieve that. But still, Book Readers really expected Syl/Mel to do this, it's why the foreshadowing was just taken as kind of normal.

Fuk, just read a GRRM thing on the news, that guy is a shit bag, telling ppl to quit shitting up his "not blog" with GoT stuff, then stomps off to go "work on his Winds of Winter chapter".

What a fat fuck. But he did write some good stuff.

Also, apparently he is working on 3 other could be TV series . . . so . . . yeah, if you thought he took forever to write a book before . . .
