yeah my wife stopped watching GoT after the red wedding (she isn't into violent stuff at all, so it was a miracle she lasted that long) and she says a few of her friends have decided to stop watching after the sansa rape thing too. None of them are SJW types, just regular middle aged women. Interestingly enough my wife ended up reading the books and liking them even more than me, which I didn't expect.

I can understand, if the show started showing dick and balls every episode and no titties and turned into long speeches by cersei about how women are awesome I'd stop watching too. I am indifferent to fictional rape but I can understand how some women won't watch a show that depicts it a lot. At this point I'm just not sure if the writers are going for shock value or what, they've had the exact same reactions now 3 or 4 times the issue has come up, including the infamous Jaime & Cersei scene. I'd like to believe they have a "Sansa's revenge" arc planned, but unless its all done in a single episode it seems it would generate far more controversy than praise. Which may be what they want.

There's a tremendous amount of violence inflicted on both genders; way to go with such a one dimensional approach and cry wolf about absolutely nothing. I'm fairly sure that it's just clickbait for the most part, 'OMG RAPE IN GOT AGAIN' just generates more money than 'things happened this week aswell'.

Maybe I don't browse the right forums but I've literally seen zero people being upset that the show had that rape scene in it for sjw reasons and dozens of people talking shit about those who are upset the show had a rape scene in it for sjw reasons.
You know how SJWs are always looking for something to be offended about? Well the people that constantly rant and rave about them are constantly looking for offended SJWs so they can have something to be offended at SJWs about.

It's a vicious cycle.

1 dumb person says something maybe vaguely misogynistic but probably not and 1 SJW finds it? "THIS ENTIRE COMMUNITY PROMOTES RAPE CULTURE!"

1 dumb SJW says something about something that is maybe vaguely misogynistic but probably not and 1 anti SJW crusader finds it? "LOOK AT ALL THESE STUPID SJWS!?"

Regardless of the SJW aspect of it all, the scene would have been cooler if during the rape Theon would have rammed a blade up Ramsay's ass. I would have cheered. But I also cheered when they cut Jaime's hand off..

Those of us who think Darth Sansa might still be a thing are reminded of how Dany started off with Drogo. That was a raep scene too, basically.

Except I don't think Darth Sansa tames her beast and teaches him what love is. I think she just murderfies him and that kennel bitch and laughs at his daddy as LF marches an army to Winterfell.

Or not. We'll know next episode. They have to start that next episode, or not at all.

The Drogo rape was much more difficult to watch, where the hell were these people before?

It wasn't even on-screen ffs. There are three characters in the room and only one HAD HIS DICK CUT OFF and also has the benefit of acting talent about 20 tiers above Sophie Turner. His reaction had far more impact than a shot of her squealing and biting on a wolf pelt because he's being reminded that he is just as weak and helpless as she is.

Darth Sansa, pfft. Do weak people who suffer somehow become stronger, or do they simply break? "What doesn't kill me only makes me stronger" is bullshit. Sansa is weak and naive and so is Theon, that's the whole point. They both wanted it to be one way, but its the other way. We hate them both because they are weak while wishing they would do something to help themselves and have their heroic moment.

Man or woman, it makes no difference. The strong prey on the weak, using whatever advantage they have. That's the theme of the whole fucking series. Sometimes, the powerful do get what they deserve - but it's rare.

PS: Loved how Jackie Chan kept whipping away at Arya because she was lying to herself about hating the hound. That is some ESP level shit right there.

My girlfriend and I had sex immediately after the episode ended. I had my neighbor come by and play the role of Theon.

While the reaction is silly, it isn't being "overhyped" by anti-SJW. As I already mentioned, its all over westeros.org and winteriscoming.net. Many reviews of the episode came down very hard on the scene for SJW reasons.

This isn't just a case of a few people on twitter.

Consolidating characters, HOW DOES IT WORK? Derp de doo.

The book has Melisandre and Jon sending Mance Rayder to save... Jeyne fucking Poole for fuck's sake. Why on earth was she even given that vision? So they can find out that the Bolton's claim is bullshit which will deliver the north to Stannis (or more likely, Jon "fuck the nights watch" Stark), I guess?

Maybe we'll find out.

In seven years.
