Think of it like Return of the King. Jon Targaryen is Gondor holding off Mordor and Dany is Rohan coming with a unified southern army to help. She will find out Jon was killed and put on a pyre but not burned. They will march beyond the wall to destroy the WWs and somehow Frodo/Bran will do something to seal victory. Jon and Dany marry and Varys kills them on their wedding night... For the good of the Realm. The end.

this show cracks me up, it tries to be pc but it offends everyone.
I don't disagree with anything he says. GRRM makes no effort to portray black characters as strong and heroic. The closest you could come up with is Greyworm, but he's just an indentured servant. You could argue that nearly all Game of Thrones characters are of less integrity than Greyworm and that Salladhor Saan and Xaro Xhoan Daxos fit right in with most GoT characters. You could also argue that the nearly all the 'heroic' characters are sworn to other characters whether it be the Hound, Selmy, Brienne etc. Really the only 'clean' heroes are Jon and Daenarys.

But the real point he makes isn't that GoT isn't 'black friendly', it's that it has no responsibility to be black friendly and the anti-education culture for Black Americans have stymied the chances of having black authors who would make a GoT-like epic series of novels centered around real events in Africa, or be based on real events on Africa like GoT is based on the war of the roses and a few other European tropes. This is all very true.

Dany's gonna die delivering her baby. Somehow fulfilling Mirri Maz Duur's curse which was actually a prophecy:

Mirri Maz Duur_sl said:
"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur. "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child."
So there's gonna some kinda cataclysmic final battle with dragons melting oceans and Grand Maester Samwell nuking shit from orbit.

I just watched that video after your comments and holy fucking shit people can find anything to get offended over. So there are black slaves in a medieval fantasy story written by an old white guy, we better see if we can get this show canceled and replaced with Tyler Perrys - Game of Thrones. Just imagine what the unsullied would do to the property values in Kings Landing.

I can only hope before the season ends dragons rape Missandei so people can really go apeshit with SJW rage.

Jw's mom was totally not on board with that wedding. No way was it a trap.
Uh... The westerlings got castermere and arranged marriages from Tywin lannister directly after the war of the five kings for their help, they also gave Jeyne moontea disguised "fertility" potions all during Robb and Jeynes marriage well before his death to prevent an heir to be born.

They have a wounded Robb Stark at their home and instead of sending their maester to treat his arrow wound they send their nubile virgin daughter to do it?

Also it was Robb Starks family that was against it. The westerlings gold mines failed years ago and they basically lived in a ruin no one wanted to marry into their house.

I have no trouble believing the Westerlings conspired with Tywin after the marriage to save face and get out of their forced alliance with House Stark, but the idea that they had a plot that pivoted on the chance that two random strangers would fall in love AND Robb would fuck up his alliance with the Freys for her is absolutely ridiculous.

Jeyne's grandmother is actually Maggy the Frog, the witch that gave Cercei her omens and her mother sybell has demonstrated her knowledge of herbs and potions in the books. Some people say Robb was "drugged" or bewitched into falling into love and the guild over his night of lust doomed him to failure.

Personally I think that is stupid and what I get from it is that Robb stark was a brilliant military commander but at the same time a 16 year old boy who never really left his families lands. The first pretty girl who dotes on him is Jeyne and hormones do the rest. I honestly think it's a really cool plot point that shows how badass Tywin lannister is and how forward thinking he was during the war.

Darth Sansa is not a happy ending. lol.

A noble family reduced to 1 female heir who is corrupted by power?

The world where you think that's a happy story is a bleak... stark world indeed!

Next you'll be tellin me that Hillary Clinton is a good person!

That's the best part. These cunts are whining about a non-rape that isn't even shown on-screen halfway through the season. The producersspent a big chunk of this season's budgeton something that'll have them marching on HBO's headquarters with pitchforks and torches.

Remember their biggest QQ is how Sansa's wedding celebration somehow 'deprived' a strong woman of her agency... wait till they a load of this:

Quite liked the episode overall, first time as a book reader i got a bit of a surprise watching the show when Sansa was raped. I should of seen it coming knowing GRRM but it caught me off guard with some fantasy that she'd get rescued or something. So overall i felt it was very in line with the book in that it goes against what you should expect to happen.

Um yeah so yeah we knew Sansa was getting jeyne poole's role early on this season (since they literally finished her entire book story last season and it's not like they'd just give her and carcetti a year off like they did bran/hodor), so if you were a book reader, you knew it was coming. It didn't dawn on me until they mentioned that it was her wedding day, then it was like, oh shit, I can't believe they are gonna make theon warm up sansa, isn't she like 17 or some shit? there's no way they can show that. Is that why they made the hound master's daughter a character in the show? is she gonna show up with the hounds? oh man this is gonna be fucked up. (yeah ok she's 19 irl, but it seemed only yesterday she was like, 12 and i thought she was younger) Annnnnnd then it was nothing. very mild scene compared to what I was expecting to happen from the books.

the real psyche out for me was the high sparrow thing. I had totally written it off that Loras was gonna get margaery's role as the one who gets locked up, especially after they had tommen and her fuck so that they couldn't use that angle. Well played D&D, totally shocked me there.

Something that still bothers me is how bad they fucked up Tormund's character
frown.png

He's supposed to be a big, loud, drunken bearfucker. Har! GoT turned him into just another crusty northerner.

Unfortunately they already hired that pigeon-holed actor to the role of Lord Commander Jormont. I think everyone expected him to play Tormund.

This is a hypothetical plot you're talking about I assume, lest anyone forget that while the Starks have certainly suffered, only one of Sansa's 4 siblings (to say nothing of Jon's real heritage or his offer from Stannis) is actually dead. Bran/Rickon/Arya all still alive. Granted, Bran seems destined to become a tree, and perhaps Arya a Faceless man, but Rickon is still a male child that is alive and well as far as we know.
