I subbed to HBO now again to watch this shit. I've forgotten though, can I stream the new episode tonight when it normally is on, or does it not become available until after it airs on tv?

I was able to last year at 8pm cst.

Just keep in mind the streaming service tends to shit the bed for the first episode.

The books are way past the show with regards to all the Ironborn stuff if I remember correctly.

I'm sure.

I probably won't watch it right when it comes up anyway. Was just wondering because I'd forgotten since I had a sub last year.

So yeah, chin up there TV only folks, as you can see above there isn't a whole lot that we could spoil even if we wanted to. We're in the same boat as you for about half the characters, and the TV show spoiled the books for the other half.
No Ironborn stuff and

and no mention of the Horn of Winter yet either.

I rewatched the pilot last night and the one thing I took away from that episode was the eye watering movement speed of the white walker at the beginning of the first episode.

I think most viewers just equate the white walkers with zombies and justify their taking forever to advance on westeros by assuming their slow movers.

But holy fuck, that walker that killed those night watch fags was blindingly fast. Like he was moving with the speed of a supernatural Cheetah.

What gives? Are walkers actually runners or was that just screenplay editing to create a sense of dread?

You book nerds realize us "TV folk" don't give a flying fuck, or have our chins down. We don't come to the other threads, it's you mouthbreathers who continue to visit this thread like teenage schoolgirls holding in a secret, practically suffocating while trying not to blurt it out.

Giving the thread the Patriots treatment I see.

Thinking about it I kind of think the Free Folk will rise up and battle the watch when they see that Jon has been betrayed. It might be the end of the Nights Watch right there.

I know this thread isn't for this type of issue, but I signed up for HBO Now to watch AGoT tonight, but I have had nothing but headaches trying to get anything to stream via Chrome or Firefox. Chrome says "The content could not be played due to a content protection error." Goolged it and the fix didn't work for it. FireFox says I am already watching on too many devices when I haven't even been able to watch anything yet -.- I really wanted to give HBO my money for AGoT, instead of downloading it or watching at a friends.

There are a couple of really cool devices that can solve your problem. First, is this invention called a television. Second, is one called cable.

The white walkers are not wrights, or the raised dead- the white walkers are leading an army of undead - but they themselves are something else.

I don't watch enough tv to justify spending an additional $50+ bucks a month.

That's strange, change your hbonow password and see if that fixes it. I use a roku from time to time and have not had any issues with it so that maybe worth a shot. They start at $50 and go up to $100 for the 4k version. I have an old roku 2 and it still serves me fine. There is no monthly charge for a roku btw.

Also how did you get an hbonow sub? Thought you needed a player of some kind to qualify.

Nope, you can get a 30 day free trial and start watching immediately. I used google play to get mine last night and have had no issues in Chrome so far.
