Let's say it was someone you know, maybe Axl Rose(if you don't know who that is, I'll concede the entire issue)? He's in a battle and Arya shows up and he says, "Welcome to the Jungle!" Would that be pretty stupid and out of place for what has been a very serious show? It's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but it seems completely out of place and character for the show.

Blame the writers for the cameo, apparently they wanted to surprise Maisie Williams because she's a fan. Wasn't a terrible scene, but definitely weird to do.

Wait, was he singing one of his songs or some shit? If so, that changes how I feel about it entirely..... I don't remember but did they call him Ed? Edward? I'm not being intentionally glib, I'm just curious why it's bothering everyone.

To my knowledge, (I may not be be accurately remembering) she showed up on a horse, heard some guys singing the Lannister song and sat down to eat some roasted rat. Some ugly ass red headed kid was sat there with a bug eyed freak, showing that war is more complicated than just STARKS GOOD LANNISTERS BAD. I thought the scene was a little heavy handed, but I think it'll have an effect on how Arya's story arc ends and they needed to convey that. Like last season with Arya and the acting troop discussing Cersei and her love for her kids, etc.

Oh, trust me....I blame the writers for most of the shit that sucks on this show; which admittedly is not much - it's still one of my favorite shows on TV. Running out of book material has not served them well, especially in the dialogue.

Yeah but if you don't know Sheeran it's just kind of a whatever seen. Oh some dude was singing. At least he looked like he fit in, although the fuckin mongoloid rapey dude stood out.

Axl rose would stick out. Fat with dreadlocks and a raiders jersey

I thought it was the dude from Fall Out Boy at first, which I though was weird as fuck. It pulled me out of the scene entirely while I tried to figure out who it was.

Holy fuck AFFC and ADWD were boring as shit. I can't even remember how many fucking chapters of Tyrion watching turtles on the river there were.

He says the running out of material has not served the show well, but I really disagree. You can tell where the books ended, and the show got much better as a result. My Jury is still out as they have yet to conclude anything so there is still tons of room to fuck it all up, but at the very least, the pacing got a ton better since season 5. Now if they do something stupid like Euron showing up and decimating Danny's army, before they can reach King's Landing, just for the sake of being edgy, then it will suck.

Still not really in love with the show's take on Euron. He just always comes off as a mad drunk. I'm also not in love with how they've put Cersei in all black with her black armored kingsguard. We get it she's evil. No need to club us over the head with it.

I doubt he's going to sail all the way to the other side of the world and back. I think Euron is just going to hop down south to Dorn and capture/kill some of the sand viper chicks for Cersei. That will make the travel times a lot more believable.

he seems less Evil and more like a high school play version of Ledgers Joker mixed with TV Negan. Hes going way to hard after Bad Boy rogue and not enough "Im evil and going to skull fuck my enemies." And t hey tried to hard to make him crazy with "enjoyed watching my kin die".

Character is shit.

Also, Im going to double down with Springbok, Can anyone confirm if Sheeran was singing one of his songs or something made for the show. This changes everything.
