Uh yes the fuck they are. North, Iron Islands, The Vale, The Westerlands, The Reach, the Stormlands, and Dorne are the 7 kingdoms. It's the Riverlands which aren't actually one of the kingdoms. At the time that Aegon conquered Westeros the Riverlands belonged to the Iron Isles, and the Ironborn King was known as the King of the Isles and Rivers.

lol. I'm not convinced that's not just a foil so that the audience isn't bored by how one sided this "War" is. If they decide that a ballista can kill a dragon the TV show that's fine, completely different from the books, but that's cool with me.
However, I hope that was just a prototype and that they're building much larger versions and manning all the towers with them. Shooting a 300 year old dragon skull from 15 feet away is much different from shooting at a moving dragon flying 300 feet above you melting your shit.
They can still go the book route, it's the scales that deflect arrows and projectiles as the dragons age, not the bones. GRRM tried to go as "realistic" as possible with dragons (he debated even including actual dragons, was originally going to use magic instead). That's why they are actually "Wyverns" since the only flying creatures with wings + arms/legs are insects, larger animals arms evolved into wings rather than a 3rd set of appendages sprouting out of their back. iirc dragon bones are supposed to be hollow like bird for weight for flight, just a higher iron content or something. it's been a while.

Pretty impressive.
Here is where I stand on it after seeing the past 2 episodes:
1) Cersei doesn't care about Yara, in fact Euron doesn't even mention her. He keeps her as a play thing back on his rusty iron ship. Ellaria however is indeed fucked and Cersei will have undead ogrecunt kill her and her head hung on a wall. Since she already deals in undead bodyguards she will send message to the undead legions in the north that Winter has come. Fucking White Glowing Males will lead their army south, through arrowpass near the sea past the wall. Because building a wall has a start and a end and the writers want Mexidads to know, you can just swim around that shit. Especially if you are dead.
2) We'll see some more dickless male scenes doing things only normal males with dicks do. I don't know what that is, but expect it take up 30% of the limited time left since it was so important to cut down on episodes to only show the "quality" things.
3) We'll see the 2nd and 3rd part of Sam removing scales from fish and deep voiced sexy Jamie. You know, the man with fish scales with a woman name.
4) Casterly Rock will fall, but I also suspect a trap. Dragons save the day and it is quickly renamed to Castle Rock.
5) Cersais army will indeed be destroyed. It wasn't that large and great to begin with. She spent too much time blowing shit up and not making alliances.
6) Ballistas will be used against the dragons, but one will catch it and fall into the water. The Hound will collect his payment as dragon slayer and him + 2 of the dragons will vanish forever to drink themselves silly while predatoring on young insecure females. The actual dragon who caught the spear and fell into the water drowns. As it turns out as powerful and good actors as they are, they cannot swim.
7) + 8) Cersei mad. Orders Tyrion dead for the 40th time. This time she means it. He can't keep getting away with it. Episode 3 will end with Jon Snow boarding a ship shaking his head and sailing away like NOPE.

I went back and paused the ocean scene where dickless was swimming around at the end. The clothing/dress matches mother sand who was about to get it on before they were so rudely rammed by angry white man pinned to the mast with 2 spears while daughter sand who was like a vicious rat with a knife was hanging by a whip. Entirely possible someone else was wearing a spotted dress and leather tights though which was the clothing being worn by those 2 only minutes earlier.

When Arya said the line to Nymeria I didn't quite hear it actually and one of the other people I was watching with said "She said 'Thats not you...you know, like she told her dad.' "
So it's damn impressive but I can't take credit. I watch the show with some super nerds. I'm a huge fan and read and watched the series multiple times, but some of these people are quoting whole paragraphs out of the books and shows verbatim.
