Is this cross platform? I played the original on my 360 and will play the HD version on my PS4

Not sure if it works that way. Its cross platform as in PS3 to PS4/PC or Xbox 360 to Xbone/PC, at least that is what they stated.

its sorta cross platform but not in any ways that really matter. if you link your rockstar social account you can "import" that character on the new PS4/xbone versions once, but all you get is your online money and shit. your single player campaign progression is reset. maybe online mode is bitching awesome or something but i can't imagine it matters that much restarting progression.

other than that there is no cross platform/play afaik, like ps3 players won't play against ps4 players etc and its not like destiny where your progress on ps3 updates auto in realtime on ps4 and vica versa. its just a one time import from 360/ps3 to ps4/xbone/pc of your online stats, every platform is on its own seperate backend system for lobbies and character data.

The mods are what turn this game into a truly dark game. It looks fantastic on the PS4 but I like playability just as much and will be very interested to see what the community does with the PC version.

game is out on ps4/xbone in ~24 hours, heres a tip for people who didn't play the last gen version (me included), lets you easily get a quick 1b+ money for the SP campaign so you can buy everything. have to do certain things in a specific order i guess during some assassination missions

pretty damn hilarious theres a stock market in the game and you can make billions off insider trading with it. take that, feminists who complain about GTA

GTA 5, as a whole (not just the stock market part), is a masterpiece. They made a damn good game. My only complaint is in the physics with ground vehicles. I guess they couldn't have different plane and car physics, so as a result the cars tend to "fly" every time they hit a bump. It makes driving quickly extremely difficult. However, the rest of the game is fucking amazing. I can't wait to see it in HD (and play the entire thing in 1st person). It's going to be a shame not seeing Trevor or Franklin outside of cut scenes, but it'll be worth it. Trevor is my favorite video game person thus far.

They have a normal physics simulation but then they purposefully turn down the weight of the cars to like 1/4th their real weight so that crazy shit happens constantly.
