Ok what's the gotchya on this one? I normally build my own PC upgrades. I am guessing very crappy components but on the surface, it looks like a steal.

The Pascal one you can overclock pretty hardcore, unlike the 1080 which, if you buy one of the better partner boards, is about as topped out as it gets. You can easily bleed 20% more performance out of the Titan X, which is about 24% faster at stock clocks than the 1080. So for 100% more money, you can get around 40% more performance from a single card solution.What was the point of the Titan X again?
I have a 970GTX and it runs everything on max completely fine. I never go below 55 fps. Why would I shell out money for one of these video cards? No game in the next five years is likely to bring my computer to its knees. We've reached a point where graphics are being held back by artists and programmers, not technology.
That's fine. The time people buying now was because of the architecture changes needed lower power , less heat, and more power per dollar, and DX12. If you have a 970 you are fine. You aren't the market. Chill out.
