We joke about racism a lot here, and we should, it is healthy for the competition of ideas and it should be done. But this guy really was a cut above the rest. He had read his history and he tried the best he could to pass his wisdom along to his own self-acclaimed people, and he was not able to complete his task to its perfect conclusion, but he moved the ball forward better than anyone else had before or since with that group. He is, essentially, a great Running Back of Humanism. He put his head down and gained some hard won but highly valuable yards and this day is his trophy.
