Has anyone read Hard Measures?

Shelly has been requesting this book awhile now based on the ex CIA's version of after 9/11.
The last few military type books I've bought were semi poorly written in flow so I was curious if anyone else has read this.
If so for a person who watches nothing but crime/investigative TV would it be worth a hardback version or was it a paperback read once and toss version.
